Invivos had the brilliant idea of converting a Carnifex model into a miniature version of the Hierophant Bio-Titan, hereby showing that even Gargantuan creatures can start out small during the course of an invasion. He took great care in getting both the bodyshape and details close to the Forgeworld Hierophant model. And as the model indeed looks much rounder than the final beast one can easily imagine how it might be a baby (although that is probably my inferior mammalian point of view...)

This carnifex conversion is based upon two simple reasons: first the similarity between the FW Hierophant resin kit and the new current plastic Carnifex kit and second the suggested genetic link between both creatures in the recent codex. So the goal for this conversion was to create a species with shares characteristics of both species, depicting a Carnifex that is mutating into a much bigger threat when a Carnifex isn´t simply enough: so it morphs into a Hierophant biotitan.
For the conversion I tried to use as little green stuff as possible, just recutting and repositioning parts of the Fex kit and the plastic Tyranid line.

The forward legs e.g. were done with only a minor amount of Green stuff, the rear legs are simple plastic. The total neck length was increased by adding an inverted second neck, the neck scales are from the Fex tail weapon. The front head scale was greenstuffed to represent an intermediate form between Carnifex and Hierophant, scythe claws made up the horns. The barbed strangler was converted to left hand use by utilizing parts of a spine fist and a left ellbow from a scythe claw. At the torso alot of claws and spikes were added as well as fleshhooks in the chest. The Tail was rebend and enlengthened with a Tyranid warrior tail and scythe claw. Many other tiny bits were added to enhance the Hierophant look like the gun rail on the Venom Cannon and the ellbow tubes. Total time of conversion was around one week. Bits: one Fex kit and parts of 2 Tyranid warrior sprues
